WisperCode processes your voice entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your audio recordings, transcriptions, or any content you dictate. There is no cloud component for speech processing.
WisperCode does not collect:
All speech-to-text processing happens locally using OpenAI Whisper models running on your hardware. Your audio never leaves your machine.
If you choose to contact us (for example, via email for support), we will receive whatever information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address and message content. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.
If we introduce optional analytics or crash reporting in the future, it will be strictly opt-in and clearly disclosed before any data is collected.
When you first set up WisperCode, the app downloads a Whisper speech recognition model from HuggingFace. This is a standard HTTPS download. We do not control HuggingFace's servers or their data practices. After the initial download, WisperCode functions fully offline.
WisperCode stores the following data locally on your device:
All of this data stays on your computer. You can delete it at any time by removing the WisperCode application data folder.
WisperCode does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external network request the app makes is the initial model download from HuggingFace.
On macOS, WisperCode requests Accessibility and Microphone permissions. These are used solely to:
No data from these permissions is transmitted anywhere.
WisperCode does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data, there is no age-specific data at risk.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Since WisperCode collects no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy.
